Aaron Adams – Project Engineer

I began working for Herzog while attending college in the late winter of 1997. I quickly knew this was a company I would like to work for when I graduated. I worked with a crew that repaired local short-line railroads around the St. Joseph, MO and Kansas City, MO areas. The people I got to know and the lessons I learned along the way proved to be invaluable.

After obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering I went to work for Herzog full time. I couldn’t wait to get out in the real world, and I knew Herzog had the tools to make me a successful construction manager.

I currently work in the Railroad Construction Division as a Project Engineer dealing with Heavy and Light Rail Transit Projects. Herzog has taken me to San Jose, San Francisco, Seattle, and currently to Salt Lake City to work on some major transit projects. These projects are/were quite impressive, and to work on projects of these magnitudes has been an honor and a healthy learning experience.

My experience with Herzog has taught me that with hard work, vision, and a positive attitude the opportunities are endless.

Kerry Hurd - Division Safety Manager

I first went to work for Herzog in October of 1997 working on the Redline Tunnel Project in North Hollywood, CA. I was a “tunnel rat” for 10 years. Through hard work and dedication I was recently promoted to Division Safety Manager for the Railroad Construction Division.

When I decided to get into the safety profession I was hoping to discover a contractor who shared the views I experienced working on my father’s projects. Shortly after joining the Herzog team I realized I made the right decision. I saw the support and dedication Herzog put towards safety and knew I found what I was looking for. I always tell people that I was at the right place at the right time and found an excellent contractor to work for.
