Herzog’s Heavy/Highway division is underway for the 2023 asphalt paving season.
Coming off of a slightly down year after setting two back-to-back annual volume records, the division has the largest backlog ever and is excited to get back on track. Most of the volume for 2023 is with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) and includes over $60 million in work covering 379 miles of rural highways and 14 miles of interstate. Also on the books are two Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) projects amounting to roughly $9 million in work and covering 13 miles of both primary and secondary highways. In addition to MoDOT and KDOT work are over 25 municipal, bridge, and commercial projects amounting to roughly $10 million in work.
